Intro to Biology Study Guide:

Can you list the steps of the scientific method? What is a control? variable? why does a quality experiment need a control and only one variable?

Metric system – What is the base unit for mass? length/distance? volume? In Celcius, at what temperature does water freeze and boil?  Most of the questions will involve converting between metric units (example, 100 meters is equivalent to how many centimeters? 10,000 cm)

2. 1.5 mL is equivalent to how many liters? kiloliters?

1. 10 kg = 10,000g, 10,000,000 mg

2. 1.5 mL = 0.0015 L, 0.0000015 L

3. 23.43 cm = 0.0002342 km, 0.2343 m

4. 2 in = 5.08 cm, 50.8 mm
